We live in a world where people want their problems gone in the blink of an eye. They want this perfect life, but the truth is that we live in a fallen world with broken people and as a Christian, my heart hurts for these people. We see suicide rates, MAID and abortion rates going up. We see war and world hunger and so many people hurting. Something that I try to constantly remind myself of is that we may not be able to help everybody but we can help someone. One act of kindness can go along ways.
Some think that abortion is an act of kindness to hurting women. Some think that by getting an abortion, their problems will be solved. Many believe that abortion is a woman’s right. But truth is, we all of have the right to life, even the unborn.
I’m not a mom. and I've never given birth to a baby, but I do know how precious life is. It’s a gift that God has given us. We all have a purpose and God has a plan.
I almost died as a young child. At one and a half years old, we had just moved to Canada, my family had no money and knew no English at all. The doctors said I had a 10% chance of living. They thought I had cancer, after a while they came to the conclusion that I had Parainfluenza type 2. My lungs were full of fluid and the only thing keeping me alive was Jesus and an oxygen tank. After 2 months, I was healed by God’s grace.
God has the whole world in his hands, that may be a saying you recognize to only be from a song in Sunday school, but it really is true! He cares for each and every single one of us, He sees your pain. He sees when you’re going through a difficult season of life and it seems as though the light that everyone claims is at the end of the tunnel isn’t even visible yet. God is there. He is with you. He is for you. There is help out there and so many people who care about you!
My name is Cherie Gerbrand. I’m 16 years old and from Manitoba! I’ve always had a deep love for children, but I first started standing for life when I heard about the Walk for Life that was hosted by Life Culture in June this year! And since then, my passion has grown for the pro-life movement! I believe we all have the right to life and that’s why I stand with Generation Life and Life Culture Canada!
